Rayben
is a book almost too good to be true! Its wholesome topics capture a
reader's
interest and remind them what is important in life. The story takes
off from the first page
as you get to know Clarence, Anna, and Willie Rayben. You grow
emotionally dedicated
to the family as you go along. Leewright does an excellent job in
gratifying the interests of all
age groups in this captivating story of love and family.
One can't help but find their self, traveling alongside
Rayben as he leads his family on a journey of survival and faith.
You will laugh, gasp, cry, and smile your way through this tale that
is sure to be timeless. It appeals to history lovers, romantics,
faith searchers, and
those simply longing for a good book that doesn't feature a vampire.
In a whole, it is a book worth reading again and again.
When I first read this book, I took longer than normal
to read
through it so that I wouldn't miss a single lesson that the story
had to offer. Little did I know I would read it again and learn even
more anyways! I love Leewright's descriptions of the Rayben family.
The characters are very much human, making them relatable to the
reader.
I found myself in their shoes more often than not throughout the
story.
I also found the history link fascinating. I was lucky
enough to have read it while studying the civil war, allowing me
more insight on the topics being faced. I enjoyed the book
tremendously and would definitely recommend it to everyone!
