   Graveside services for Leola Medford Lindley, 87, Calvin, were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Calvin Cemetery, Rev. Walter Kuhlman officiated.

   Mrs. Lindley died Monday, April 12, 2010 in McAlester. She was born July 17, 1922 at Granbury, Texas to Harry S. and Maude Henslee Medford. She attended Carter Elementary and Carter High School and moved to Stuart during her senior year and graduated from Stuart High School in 1940. She received a Bachelors and Master's degree from East Central University in Business, Elementary Education and Music.

    She married M. C. (Pete) Lindley, Jr. October 3, 1947. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2008 at McAlester. Mrs. Lindley was a teacher, farmer and rancher and co-founder of Home Gas Company in Calvin. She was an avid photographer specializing in wildlife photography. She created school yearbooks for the students at Moss school and she was also a pianist.

   Survivors include two sons, Clifford Lindley and wife Janis, Moss, and Harry Lindley and wife Peggy, McAlester; a daughter, Jayne Mays and husband Mike, Calvin; grandchildren, Wes and Randa Lindley, Holdenville and Mike and Tracy Lindley, Calvin; great grandchildren, Sammy, Nolan and Haddie; two sisters, Lyndall Robertson, Holdenville and Nova Perkins, Atwood; and many nieces and nephews.

   Bearers were her cousins, Warren Lindley and Stephen Lindley, along with Edmond Perkins, Mike Mays, Wesley Lindley, and Michael Lindley.
